Spain is fond with festivities; most of the months are assigned with festivals. And mine you that, the Spanish people loves to celebrate festivities in and a vibrant and colorful way. They value much whatever event that they have on that particular months and days and because of that, the traditional event that they have is not only known around the city and country itself but worldwide.
Specifically the city of Granada, the calendar is full of events that could also be the reason why since then and even until now it is rushed by the tourists worldwide due to the event aside from the panoramic landscape that they have.
When you are in Granada, there would be an expected religious event such as processions, a flamenco festival as well and more. For you to know much further about the city’s recent and traditional festivities below are just some of the important festivities being commemorated along the city of Granada.
- The Fiesta de la Toma: this event is expectedly commemorated during the months of January 2. This festivity is the commemoration of the Catholic Monarchs during the 1492 era. It features a colorful and vibrant procession of people wearing 15th century costumes as well as the raising of the monarch’s banner at the area of Ayuntamiento or the city hall.
