Authorized by Charles V, Roman Emperor this great palace of himself stood at the top of the hill particularly in Assabica in Granada Spain. The Emperor Charles let this palace to build because he wanted to be near at the Alhambra palaces. And in the figure of Pedro Machuca who previously is the architecture of the palace, he made a difference of styling the palace to Mannerism; which is a style still in its infancy in Italy.
During 1527, the construction of the palace was started and the Machuca’s choice of architectural design dominates the façade of the palace. The palace boasted off having 63-meters-long square restraining a circular patio. The Emperor’s palace is divided into two floors; the lower part of the palace contains the wadding tuscan order while the upper portion of the palace contains the ionic order.
On the other hand, the patio has also two divisions; the lower part of the patio consists of a Doric arcade of firm stone. While the upper part is shaped by stylized ionic arcade which its entablature has no decorations; the incredible designed of the patio gives in-depth knowledge regarding on the architectural style of the Roman Empire.

The figures of Emperor Maximilian I and Mary of Burgundy was Emperor Charles V’s paternal grandparents while Ferdinand II of Aragon as well as Isabella I of Castille was his maternal grandparents.
